Peter Milford holds a Master's degree in Law (LL.M - Intellectual Property), a Bachelor's degree in Physics and Information Technology, a post-graduate Diploma in Educational Technology and a Certificate in Education (qualified teacher status). Peter is a Member of the British Computer Society (MBCS), Chartered Physicist and Member of the Institute of Physics (CPhys MInstP).
Peter was Regulatory Affairs Manager at Hampshire based ISP, NewNet plc, and a member of the company's senior management team. Alongside the regulatory and legal role, Peter acted as the lead manager for Investor in People recognition and then as the lead manager for the implementation of procedures and processes that led to accreditation and registration to ISO9001 (Quality Management System) and ISO27001 (Information Security Management). Peter represented the company at national industry and governmental levels, leading and presenting at various forum and conference events.
Over recent years, Peter has worked to develop and manage a series of highly successful European trans-national projects. SLAM, GrandSLAM and SLAMIT developed the provision of school library learning resource centres across partners in 8 countries. Before these projects, Peter was involved with the development and delivery of the European Web for Schools project.
Peter was Director of Learning Resources at St. Vincent College - within that role he was Chief Executive of the innovative Hampshire Online Learning project - a collaborative project involving 22 FE sector Colleges across Hampshire and delivering online learning to the SME community - and was seconded to BT to develop Internet services for education. Peter taught Physics and Geography to A level.
